Journeyman Mission Support Specialist
In this role you will…
- Plan, support, and manage Mission Assurance assessments end-to-end
- Maintain and update the Integrated Assessment Schedule (IAS) to ensure assessment timelines are met
- Coordinate assessment activities with Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, the Joint Staff, OSD, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate logistics and data gathering for assessment site visits
- Support assessment reporting, feedback, and after-action processes
- Additional duties as assigned
Experience Requirements:
- 3–10 years in any career field, discipline, or industry
- Experience coordinating across multiple DoD echelons (COCOM, MAJCOM, installation) preferred
- Background in assessment/evaluation planning or project coordination preferred
- Familiarity with DoD assessment frameworks preferred
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in any field
Certification Requirements:
- None specified
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active/current Top Secret (TS) clearance on Day 1 of performance
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and TS/SCI with Caveats
- U.S. Citizenship required
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work 100% on-site within a Government SCIF during core duty hours
- CONUS travel may be required (coordinated with the Government at least 10 calendar days prior)
- OCONUS travel may be required (e.g., EUCOM/PACOM AOR support; coordinated at least 20 calendar days prior, with Theater Business Clearances)
- Local travel within the National Capital Region may be required
- Trip and After-Action Reports are required following each trip
- May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
**Position is Contingent on Contract Award **
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000-300,000. Multiple considerations are taken into account when determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
