Assessment and Accreditation Analyst 26-022
Summary
The ODU Research Foundation seeks aa Assessment and Accreditation Specialist to support the Ellmer School of Nursing’s HRSA grant. The position will oversee the student and faculty data, policies, practices, and operations. This includes leading and preparing all data collection and reporting functions, such that are tied to specialized professional accreditation efforts, internal and external compliance reports, and ad hoc data requests. Additionally, serving as liaison with HRSA, the university and departmental administrators and faculty in providing critical planning information and data for school, university, and HRSA reports.Responsibilities will include:
ESoN/HRSA Tracking and Assessment System:
Data collection, management, reporting, and analysis for Ellmer School of Nursing. Consult with college leadership to design and implement data analysis and management plan for the ESoN to support HRSA reporting in alignment with regional and specialized accreditation efforts. Accountable for assessment and data management processes to ensure that ESoN maintains a quality assurance system that draws on verifiable and representative data, engages relevant internal and external stakeholders, and promotes programmatic improvement. Develop and maintain assessment calendar for ESoN to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines and to promote faculty use of data to inform program improvement efforts. Promotes a culture among faculty and staff in which high quality data drives program improvement efforts.
Oversight of Data Analysis & Reporting:
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for HRSA Projects and program-level requirements, that also meet specialized accreditation requirements (e.g., AACN/CCNE) and ongoing programmatic improvements. Establish and coordinate systems for tracking and responding to faculty/staff ad hoc requests and develop standard reporting templates for recurring requests. Responsible for all HRSA and program accreditation, data, and assessment reporting mandated by internal and external entities. This includes pulling and cleaning raw data; preparation of data tables, data visualizations, reports, and other outputs; and provision of data analysis. Develop online data dashboards to increase faculty/staff access to timely and accurate data about enrollment, recruitment, retention, student demographics, and other relevant indicators. Oversee and monitor data collection integrity. Create large datasets for longitudinal analyses. Collaborate with the HRSA PI, HRSA, Dean’s Office, Office of Institutional Research, Registrar’s Office, program directors, and department chairs to promote accurate and consistent data entry and use practices. Work with faculty and staff involved in HRSA project and programs to coordinate and prepare data reporting and other supporting evidence for HRSA reporting, presentations, publications, and accreditation.

Responsible for completion of major internal and external reports, including but not limited to: HRSA, CCNE/self-study, SACSCOC Reporting, US News & World Report surveys, internal reports related to the University/ESoN strategic plan, program review, ESoN annual reports, and semester reports on enrollment and retention. Respond to ad hoc data inquiries and serve as the data collection and analysis expert. Lead program/HRSA faculty and staff in preparation of annual assessment and addressing areas of need. Work with ESoN academic programs and administrative departments to maintain and refine assessment plans that demonstrate ESoN effectiveness. Provide training, data reporting, and analysis, including developing measurable outcomes, selecting reliable and valid measures, collecting/analyzing data, reporting findings, and identifying necessary changes informed by data.

Education and/or training:
Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing, Education, Program Evaluation or related area and experience with SCT Banner
Level and type of experience:
Prior knowledge and experience with assessment data for grant reporting and accreditation
Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Working knowledge of survey development & data collection methodology
- Knowledge of assessment management software, web development software, and associated online software tools
- Skills in using statistical packages, databases, spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, and data visualization software
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in providing data support to faculty, staff, and relevant audiences
Level and type of experience:
Experience with implementing literacy across a tiered system of support, to include knowledge of research or evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring, data informed decision making, and/or data-based individualization (DBI).
