E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a JCCE Labs Journeyman Software Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA in support of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC). The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) provides timely and accurate engineering and scientific analysis to military commanders and government officials to advance the national security strategy of the United States. A functional component of the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), JWAC uses information provided by the intelligence community to analyze and recommend solutions to some of the most complex problems faced by our military and civilian leaders. JWAC supports both crisis operations and contingency planning.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems.
• Applies specific functional knowledge, working/general industry knowledge.
• Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or Bachelors degree and 2-4+ years of directly related experience or Masters degree and 0-2+ years directly related experience.
• 2+ years of experience working on software development teams
• 2+ years of experience with version control systems and object-oriented programming, including C#, Python, or Java
• Experience with application containerization and full-stack web application development
• Experience deploying applications and CI/CD tools, including GitLab
• Knowledge of programming fundamentals, concepts, and language mechanics, and object-oriented design principles
• Ability to learn new languages, technologies, and codebases quickly
• Ability to work independently on features while collaborating with a team to review code an solve problems
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have and be able to maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security clearance at the appropriate level.
