Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work day shifts on a 12-bed neuroscience stepdown unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles
• 13-week assignment with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients transferring from Neuro ICU including neuro trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage patients
• Treat ENT cancer patients post tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients
• Handle wide range of neurological problems and neuromuscular disorders
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with daily census of 10
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have Epic charting system experience
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must adhere to float policy within scope of practice
• Up to 40 hours of approved time off available
• BSN preferred
• Nursys verification required for submittal
• Must have Virginia license in-hand by Wednesday before start date
