Janitorial Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor to join our team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will oversee the daily cleaning operations of our facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the janitorial staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Train new staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints from staff and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports on cleaning activities and staff performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in facility management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a janitorial or cleaning role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
