Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the efficient execution of Accounts Payable tasks reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining communication with vendors, customers, employees and leadership addressing issues in a timely fashion

• Assist with Accounts Payables, Operations and Project Management administrative tasks

• Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

• Preparation of monthly closing journal entries

• Support effective accounting for intercompany invoicing and consolidation

• Support weekly payroll processing

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth operations.

• Review payables in system against vendor statements and follow-up with vendors for missing invoices.

• Gather information and prepare various financial and general reporting as required.

• Proficiency in modern software platforms including Excel and other Microsoft platforms

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address financial issues and discrepancies.

• Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals is common, so being a team player is important.

Experience, Qualifications & Education:

• Minimum five (5) years of administrative experience preferred

• Minimum five (5) years of accounts payable experience required

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Thorough understanding of the business process, project management and operations

• The ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Highly developed organizational skills

Pay: $20 - $25/Hourly - Classification: Regular, Full-Time
