Our nuclear sector plays an important role in extending the life of existing nuclear stations and executing the next generation of nuclear new builds leveraging a similar fleet execution strategy. From our work delivering the two largest refurbishment projects (Savannah River nuclear station and North Anna Power Station) in North America to deploying the first grid-scale SMR in the western world. We continue moving forward with a strategic focus on decarbonizing energy systems in support of a net zero future.

The Project Planner – Mechanical is a highly motivated self-starter who will assist in various areas of the Dominion Projects.

Citizenship Requirement:
This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.

What You'll Do Here:

• Navigate and work within MAXIMO.
• Plan both Online and Outage work orders using MAXOMO.
• Produce detailed work plans and instructions
• Prepare reports and history records in MAXIMO.
• Order material in MAXIMO
• Performs constructability reviews and plant walkdowns.
• Evaluate the work environment to determine which support groups are required
• Attends internal and external meetings
• Provides guidance/input regarding work planning, execution and commissioning strategies.
• Coordinate with Operations to generate requests for equipment isolation.

What You Bring To The Team:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
• Ability to meet the challenges of this dynamic role
• Ability to work with different work groups (Project Management, Engineering, Implementation and Dominion Personel)
• Planners must understand and be familiar with the nuclear plant equipment
• Planner is familiar with standard nuclear procedures and policies.
• Holds a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil certification (or equivalent experience/education)
• A minimum of 5 years working a Nuclear Generation Station as Planner or Field Engineer (or equivalent).

Physical Demands:

• Various work locations in both field and office
• Walkdown of project sites and systems outside and inside of station are required to support workorder assessments
• Travel as necessary
