We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Staunton, Virginia. In this Contract-to-continuing role, you will oversee payroll processes for a diverse workforce, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for both hourly and salaried employees. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented professionals with experience in multi-state payroll management.
Responsibilities:• Process payroll for approximately 300 employees, including both hourly and salaried staff.
• Manage all payroll-related adjustments, stipends, and corrections with precision.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations across multiple states.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to efficiently handle payroll operations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare detailed reports as needed.
• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll integration.
• Audit payroll processes regularly to identify and correct errors.
• Support the implementation of payroll best practices to improve efficiency.• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for a workforce of 500 or more employees.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Effective communication skills to address payroll-related concerns.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with auditing and reporting processes in payroll management.
