Barista

Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented Baristas to join our upscale casual New American restaurant team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, and who enjoy providing a polished, guest-focused experience. Baristas play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while delivering high-quality drinks with consistency and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and other specialty beverages to guests with precision and consistency
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, seasonal drinks, and brewing methods
• Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and make recommendations when appropriate
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area
• Assist in stocking and restocking supplies, including beans, milk, syrups, and cups
• Monitor beverage quality, presentation, and portion control
• Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Handle cash and process payments accurately

Qualifications:

• Previous barista or coffee service experience preferred
• Knowledge of espresso-based drinks, brewing methods, and coffee origins a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
