Network Engineer Wireless (Planned Position) (Top Secret Required)

MicroHealth is seeking a Network Engineer - Wireless to support our contract providing to achieve the acceptable levels of enterprise management and technical support, for the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of the Navy’s fleet in the areas of Technical Support, IT Strategies and Client Services, and Cyber Security.
*Clearance: a T5 security clearance based on an initiated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) in Defense Information System for Security DISS)*
*On-site required*
Location: Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) CIO C109, Portsmouth, VA 23709
Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network components including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and network appliances
• Implement DISA STIGs to ensure network component compliance
• Evaluate and respond to network incidents with appropriate corrective actions
• Support approved change management processes
• Manage complex network environments across routing, switching, and wireless technologies
• Review SEIM tools to discover and resolve network events
• Implement and manage security protocols and policies
• Perform root cause analysis with actionable recommendations
• Plan, design, and implement both local and wide-area enterprise networks
• Collaborate with DoD teams to support project objectives

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Seven (7) years of experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Cisco networks
• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring network systems, hardware, and software applications

• Implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Security information and event management (SEIM) tools utilization
• Advanced routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF) and switching technologies
• Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies like SD-Access and SD-WAN
• Working with Department of Defense teams to support project objectives
• Required Hardware Experience:
  • Network switches (CISCO Nexus series 7000/9000 and Cisco Catalyst series)
  • Cisco routers (CISCO 4551, 8500)
  • Cisco wireless access points (9000 series)
  • Aruba wireless access points (AP275, 375, 515)
• Required Software Experience
  • Cisco Wireless LAN controller (WLC)
  • Solar Winds
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA)
  • Splunk
  • Aruba Wireless LAN controller

• Active Security+ CE or higher
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
