Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen leadership and operations
- Collaborate on menu development, including seasonal dishes and chef specials
- Oversee product ordering, inventory, and cost controls
- Train, motivate, and inspire the culinary team
- Ensure consistency, presentation, and execution meet brand standards
- Maintain food safety and sanitation compliance (ServSafe certification required)
- Build trust and teamwork across both kitchen and front-of-house operations
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale or high-volume full-service concept
- 6+ years of total culinary experience
- Proven success in managing food & labor costs, P&L oversight, and team development
- Strong leadership and communication skills under pressure
- Ability to create, cost, and execute menu specials and signature dishes
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and sense of humor
