Position: Systems Engineer

Work Location: Onsite, Belcamp, MD, Orlando, FL, Camden, AR, Fullerton, CA, Santa Clarita, CA, Rustburg, VA.

Daily schedule: 40 hours per week, standard business hours

Notes: No C2C, must be US Citizen.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to design, configure, and implement secure cloud and on-premises solutions that meet CMMC control requirements . This role focuses on assessing IT environments, applying secure configurations, and supporting audit readiness through technical validation and documentation.

Requirements

• Assess and remediate cloud and on-premises IT environments to align with CMMC security controls and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
• Design and implement secure configurations for networks, endpoints, servers, and applications.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for access control, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Support evidence gathering and technical validation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are compliant, hardened, and properly documented.
• Configure and manage Azure security services , including WAF, Shield, Security Hub, Macie, GuardDuty, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Participate in vulnerability management and remediation efforts using tools such as Nessus or similar.
• Stay current with evolving CMMC, DoD, and cybersecurity regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to support audit readiness and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in system security, cloud architecture, and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure , GCP , and on-premises environments .
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365
• Experience with secure enclave design and implementation , particularly in Microsoft GCC High or similar environments.
• Familiarity with CMMC , NIST SP 800-171 , and DFARS compliance frameworks.
