Clearance: Top-Secret (TS) Clearance

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Software Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with an active Top Secret clearance and 10+ years of professional experience to design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems supporting critical missions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge of enterprise-level software development, security requirements, and full lifecycle software engineering practices.
This position involves developing and enhancing software solutions, resolving technical issues, ensuring quality, and working with customers to address feedback. The SME will support secure desktop design, software testing, patch automation, and configuration deployment. Additionally, the candidate will work in an Agile environment and contribute to continuous integration and test automation efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhance existing software applications.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand software issues and provide timely solutions.
• Address user feedback and resolve software-related complaints.
• Support the development of user documentation and training materials.
• Implement and manage desktop security lockdowns and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Automate application deployments, updates, and patching processes.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, accessibility (508), and performance benchmarks.
• Participate in Agile software development lifecycle using SAFe principles.

Required Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret clearance (required).
• 10+ years of software development experience in complex, enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).
• Demonstrated experience across the software development lifecycle, including security and automation integration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Languages & Frameworks: Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, ExtJS 7, Spring Framework, Spring Security, EclipseLink (JPA), HTML, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, Bash
• Databases & Platforms: Oracle, Aurora/PostgreSQL, Apache Tomcat, Amazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, IAM, Lambda
• Development & Automation Tools: Eclipse IDE, Maven, GitLab/Git, GitLab Runner, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Apache Solr, Katalon (for test automation), CI/CD Pipelines, Test Automation
• Project & Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence, Splunk
• Standards & Methodologies: SAFe Agile, 508 Compliance and Testing, Secure coding practices and automated patch/deployment strategies

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Security (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Security+).
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks and automation tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate independently in a technical advisory capacity.
