POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing personal assistance services to the client in order to maintain safety in the client’s home.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform personal assistance services for clients as dictated by client needs/preferences, examples of which include:
- Assist in personal care such as lifting, turning, dressing, walking, bathing, changing and using the restroom
- Clean all areas used by client including sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, linen changing and laundry
- Prepare and administer client meals according to the client’s dietary needs and wants
- Errand running for the client, such as deliver bill payments, mail letters and grocery shopping
- Transport client in the client’s automobile with proper release form and proof of insurance
Other responsibilities include:
- Report any and all violations of client’s rights
- Respect the client’s personal property and report any damage, destruction or removal
- Complete and submit all documentation as designated in a timely manner.
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times
- Maintain professional relationships with the clients
- Communicate with immediate supervisor of changes in schedule or issues affecting ability to perform assigned duties
We provide continuing education and room for advancement for all staff. We offer a training program that will allow you to advance in your position.
To qualify, you must have at least one year experience in a variety of senior care settings as a Caregiver or a CNA. We conduct background checks on all qualified applicants and YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE and vehicle insurance are required. You must have a CNA, PCA or HHA certificate. You must also possess a current CPR and TB screening.

Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- CNA or PCA or HHA (Required)

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Must have honesty and integrity
- Must have at least one year previous experience in care giving for the elderly or have a current CNA certificate
- Must not have a criminal record which would bar employment
- Must be able to tolerate a physical workload including standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate a variety of housing conditions
