This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. We are looking for a Data Center Floor Manager responsible for the day to day operations and management of the data center floor, ensuring the reliability, efficiency and security of the data center infrastructure. As a key member of a Data Center team, you will oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of data center equipment, manage date center personnel and coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless operations.
You will produce clear communications to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, track and respond to action items, and support/participate in various integration activities and projects of varying urgency, size, and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the data center floor, including monitoring of power, cooling and environment systems
- Ensure compliance with data center policies, procedures and standards
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new data center equipment, including servers, storage and network devices
- Coordinate with Vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and successful equipment installations
- Ensure the data center is secure and compliance with security policies and procedures
- Manage access control, including badge management, visitor access and escort procedures
- Manage data center assets, including inventory management and asset tracking
- Respond to and manage data center incidents, including power outages, equipment failures, and security breaches
- Develop and maintain reports and metrics to measure data center performance, including uptime, power usage and cooling efficiency
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling and environmental systems
- Familiarity with data center management software and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, CMDB)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, management or a related field
- Bachelors degree and 6 overall years of relevant experience (8 years of overall experience required if no degree)
- Strong leadership, management and communciation skills
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Project
- Ability to multitask; can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to react to project adjustments promptly and efficiently
- Data Center Certifications desired: CDCP, CDCS (or other relevant data center certifications)
- ITIL or other IT Service Management Certifications
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
