Logistics Analyst

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Logistics Analyst to join a leading Company located in the Radford, VA surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to routematerials.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, defects, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Prepares shipments for conveyance; determines the most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; and packs items to ensure safe delivery.
• Checks items to be shipped against the request to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety and environmental standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years workexperience or equivalent experience.
• Ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Jobrequires being careful about detailand thorough in completing work tasks.
• Ability to develop and implement organizational changes as requiredto meet a changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with MMAS compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools.
• Basic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations policies and procedures.
• GOCO (Government owned contractor operated) experience.
• Supply Chain experience.
