Location: Norfolk, VA
Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time
Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced Pump and Valve Mechanics for ship repair and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge of marine systems, pumps, and valves used aboard naval and commercial vessels.
Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and overhaul various types of marine pumps and valves.

Disassemble, clean, and reassemble pumps, valves, and related components.

Perform hydrostatic and operational testing to verify repairs.

Replace worn or defective parts, bearings, gaskets, seals, and shafts.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.

Work safely in confined spaces and follow all shipyard safety procedures.

Collaborate with other trades to complete system installations or overhauls.
Requirements
-
3+ years of experience as a Pump/Valve Mechanic in the ship repair or industrial maintenance field.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow technical drawings.

Must have DBIDS eligibility or ability to obtain base access.

Must pass drug screen and background check.

Tools and PPE required.
