We handle the administrative details so you can do what you do best: inspire learning and nurture the next generation of musicians within our school community!As part of our After School Program, you'll have the opportunity to work with students in a supportive, academically-focused environment that extends the learning day beyond traditional classroom hours.What You'll Do:As a Music Instructor in our After School Program, you will create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment where students thrive. You will:Teach private music lessons to students in grades 3-6 with varying skill levels and musical backgrounds.Build positive relationships with students and families through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates that reflect our mission of fostering both goodness and knowledge.Collaborate with Extended Day Program staff to coordinate lesson scheduling and support student engagement in our after-school community.Share your musical expertise to inspire young learners and foster their growth as both musicians and well-rounded individuals.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience. 2 years of music teaching experience, preferably with elementary-aged students. Experience working with children in grades 3-6.Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctoral) in Music. Professional teaching memberships or certifications. 5+ years of teaching experience with elementary students. Expertise in multiple instruments including: cello, clarinet, flute, saxophone, piano, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin, and percussion. Experience in after-school or extended day programs.
