This is a full-time contract position working as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school setting, supporting learners from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 11, 2027, providing stability and the chance to build connections across a school year. You’ll enjoy working 5 days a week, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, all while providing essential support to students at varying developmental milestones.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience working in school-based OT settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, student evaluations, and therapeutic interventions
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers and special education staff
- Complete documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Educate staff and families on strategies for supporting student success in the classroom
