Senior Software Engineer – IAM Platform

The IAM Platform team at Alarm.com is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us evolve our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, leveraging technologies like Keycloak, OAuth2, and OIDC.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ALARM.COM?
- Design, build, and maintain IAM platform services and features, with a focus on authentication, authorization, and user management
- Develop and integrate solutions using Keycloak, OAuth2, and OIDC
- Collaborate with feature teams to support their integration needs and ensure a seamless developer experience
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code in C# and .NET Core
- Contribute to the design and implementation of front-end login and user management pages (bonus)
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning
- Help drive adoption of IAM best practices and standards across the organization
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT DO YOU NEED ?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience with C# and .NET Core
- Strong experience with containerization (k8s, Docker)
- Hands-on experience with OAuth2 and OIDC
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable platform services
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
WHAT ELEVATES YOU IN THIS ROLE?
- Experience with Java
- Experience with Keycloak
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts (authorization models, token exchanges patterns)
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Typescript, or similar) and front-channel auth flows
- Experience with large-scale platform integration
