Inventory Associate
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Associate, where you'll play a crucial role in our receiving area for raw materials and potentially assist in shipping. You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our manual inventory tracking system, specifically for incoming raw aluminum materials, and ensuring their proper storage and transfer to various departments.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage incoming raw aluminum materials using a manual project management system.
- Enter and monitor inventory data in a program similar to Excel.
- Inspect and report non-conforming products during unloading.
- Provide inventory insights to plant managers and department staff.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management regarding inventory and department needs.
- Ensure high attention to detail and quality in handling delicate materials.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack for unloading trucks and transferring materials.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cycle counts, inventory tracking, and overall inventory management.
- Proficiency in Excel and data/inventory tracking.
- Experience in receiving and customer service.
- Ability to perform hand counts and maintain high-level inventory management.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Material handling and warehouse packing skills.
- Familiarity with quality assurance, sheet metal, and assembly processes.
- Experience with SAP and clerical tasks.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean and well-lit environment, with processes starting from drill press to final assembly. Though the facility is not climate-controlled with air conditioning, it offers a unique opportunity to witness the craftsmanship of hand-made cushions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
