About the Role:
Our client manufactures and sells best-in-class electrical stimulation technologies and operates as both a manufacturer and a national DME supplier, serving patients across the United States.

The Director of Payor Relations is responsible for securing, maintaining, and expanding insurance coverage and reimbursement for our client's MDE across the Midwest and Northeast United States. This role is not a leadership role but an individual contributor.

Compensation & Benefits:
Our client offers a competitive $120k-$130k Base Salary (Flexible/Negotiable DOE) + Incentive Compensation. Total compensation being ~$180k, full comprehensive benefits, 401k, PTO, etc.

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Director of Payor Relations for the Midwest and Southwest regions to support the continued commercial growth of its medical device portfolio. Who Our Client Is Looking For:

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team members on contracting and maintenance of in-network participation agreements with managed care organizations
  • Initiate new contracting efforts with local, regional, and national payors and serve as the lead for new managed care initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and revenue cycle teams to prioritize contracting initiatives
  • Partner with provider relations staff to plan and execute managed care sales strategies
  • Provide regular updates to corporate leadership on sales pipeline and funnel activity
  • Coordinate marketing materials, KOLs, and patient support to strengthen payor adoption of the organization’s devices
  • Represent and communicate the organization’s interests to managed care organizations regarding pricing, claims status, and medical policy
  • Oversee CRM usage for managed care and provider relations teams
  • Support ongoing state and federal credentialing requirements
Key Competencies
  • Proven experience in contracting with managed care organizations
  • Strong written communication skills for proposal development and sales correspondence
  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare insurance landscape, including commercial, governmental, and workers’ compensation plans
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and relational databases
  • Existing relationships with managed care organizations strongly preferred
  • General understanding of human physiology and anatomy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience working with provider organizations on contracting initiatives
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel up to 50%
