Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of hospital setting experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA, working weekend shifts.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit in a main hospital building in Richmond, VA
• 44-bed unit staffed with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Weekend shift: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• May float to the acute care hospital if rehab census is low
• Specialized equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification

Requirements

• Active OT license required where applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Stroke evaluation and treatment experience required
• Must have active clinical experience within the last 6 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Procedures performed include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
• AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected
• Preferred scrub attire is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
