Senior Data Analyst
Location: Dahlgren, VA
Clearance: Secret
Position Type: Full-Time
- Perform analysis, design, and development activities related to data warehousing, data integration, and business intelligence systems.
- Develop logical and physical data models to support system integration, analytics, and enterprise reporting requirements.
- Define and document data requirements, interface specifications, and database performance criteria.
- Create and maintain structured query language (SQL) scripts for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Design and implement processes for data loading, performance tuning, and data validation.
- Conduct data analysis to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of enterprise data.
- Support data conversion activities, including migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Collaborate with system architects, database administrators, and functional stakeholders to align data solutions with operational needs.
- Provide expertise in data knowledge acquisition, metadata management, and business rules documentation.
- Develop on-line queries, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in the design and development of data governance and standardization practices.
- Six (6) years of professional experience related to data warehousing, data analysis, or data integration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar discipline is highly desired.
- Experience in requirements development, logical data modeling, and database design.
- Proficiency in structured query language (SQL) and experience developing database performance and loading specifications.
- Experience in designing and implementing data warehouse structures, including data marts and integration pipelines.
- Familiarity with data validation, interface design, and reporting frameworks.
- Experience with data migration, legacy system conversions, and data knowledge acquisition.
- Understanding of Working Capital Fund, ERP, financial, and human resources system data structures and processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
