Customer Experience Account Specialist - Dry Storage Warehouse (Front Royal)
Account Specialist Overview: Primary responsibilities involve the administrative, organization and system handling of inbound receipts and outbound shipments. The Individual will communicate directly with the customer and internally with warehouse operations to ensure customer needs are satisfied. This individual will serve as a liaison between our Operations team and the customer.
Location: Front Royal, VA
Reports to: Customer Experience Asst. Manager - Dry
Work Hours: Monday to Friday schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm **OT as required**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly communicate with and respond to customer calls and emails along with onsite customer personnel.
- Assist drivers with directions to facility as necessary.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and quality measures
- Receive material into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generate and process orders in the WMS.
- Verifying inventory on-hand is sufficient to fulfill orders and notify customers of shortages.
- Ensure proper rotation of inventory and that the product sent to customers has adequate information.
- Prioritize, print, distribute, and collect paperwork for the dock to receive or load-out trucks (includes bill of ladings, packing slips, special handling instructions, and export documents)
- Review Bill of Ladings (BOLs) for accuracy
- Scan completed paperwork and media (photo or video) to customer as required.
- Serve as the point of contact for drivers arriving at facility by issuing drivers paperwork, confirming drivers’ paperwork and shipment number and confirming appointment time.
- Record and review receipt and shipment/load details in WMS system to ensure accuracy and close out transactions as loads are complete.
- Organize and file completed paperwork.
- Assist with reconciling inventory and correcting discrepancies.
- Assist operations with researching missing pallets.
- Assisting Management with month-end billing reconciliation and invoicing as needed
Prior Work-Related Experience Required:
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with an enterprise-level software package.
- A minimum of three years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI) a plus (not required).
- Experience working in a team environment and/or managing team members.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Education – High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Organizational – Ability to administer, organize, and file documents.
- Communicative – Ability to communicate via email, telephone, and in person effectively and efficiently.
- Computer Literacy – Ability to operate a computer and willingness to learn and utilize InterChange’s warehouse management system software (WMS) and other systems.
- Multi-Tasking Capability – Ability to handle more than one task at a time.
