Satellite Ground Systems Engineer

About The Role
Ready to make an impact? Peraton has exciting opportunities to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, supporting several mission critical space and intelligence programs, including development, deployment, operations and maintenance of satellite ground terminals and associated systems. Peraton is seeking a self-starting cleared Senior Systems Engineer in our Herndon, VA location.
The Satellite Ground Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Responsibilities of the position:
- Develop concepts of operation.
- Conduct requirements analysis.
- Develop verification plans.
- Develop and exercise system performance models.
- Support major program reviews.
- Integrate system components and conduct system tests.
- Plan and execute test events.
- Work within a team to accomplish customer deployment goals.
- Identifying critical analysis required, organizing and performing analysis tasks, organizing and performing system- and design-level trades, developing and evaluating algorithms, defining system architecture to implement algorithms.
- Requirements verification planning and execution.
- Support business development, development of system engineering and analysis program plans.
- Develop concepts of operation, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses, functional analysis, time-line analysis, detailed trade studies.
- Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.
- Ensure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively.
- Coordinate resolution of production-related problems.
- Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of systems and services.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
- Supervise, manage, support and evaluate personnel.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radio Frequency, STEM degree, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related Engineering field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relative experience.
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with poly.
- Experience in signal processing for complex RF waveforms.
- Experience with Radio Frequency Communications, Signal Processing, and System Analysis.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range
Details
Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
