Mid-level Systems Engineer (TS/SCI)

Job Title : Mid-Level Systems Engineer (GEOINT / NSG / ASG)

Location: Chantilly, VA / Springfield, VA

Candidates must be willing to travel between both locations as required.
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance. Willingness to undergo a polygraph, if required.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) initiatives across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal agencies. This role requires a multidisciplinary systems engineering approach to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable mission solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, test & evaluation, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability activities within complex System-of-Systems environments.
  
  
• Analyze and trace user and mission requirements through system architectures and technical solutions.
  
  
• Evaluate and improve existing systems, workflows, and cloud-based or hybrid infrastructures.
  
  
• Develop system designs based on emerging technologies and mission needs.
  
  
• Translate operational and customer requirements into technical capabilities and system-level solutions.
  
  
• Support requirements allocation to architecture components and ongoing programs.
  
  
• Conduct systems integration and engineering assessments.
  
  
• Assist with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and technical evaluations.
  
  
• Provide support in strategic planning, risk management, performance engineering, project management, and interface design.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering or related STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research, Computer Science, IT, MIS, etc.), or equivalent additional experience.
  
  
• Mid-level experience supporting government or industry systems engineering efforts.
  
  
• Experience with DoD or IC acquisition processes, requirements development, PPBES, or large complex System-of-Systems / Service-Oriented Architecture environments (cloud, on-prem, or hybrid).
  
  
• Prior experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs.
  
  
• Previous IC or DoD program experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), tools, and methodologies.
  
  
• Familiarity with software development frameworks.
  
  
• INCOSE ASEP certification.
  
  
• Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  
  
• Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, geomatics, or related disciplines.
  
  
• Familiarity with current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments.
  
  
• Membership or participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
