Job Description

A large regional referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center in the Winchester, Virginia area is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a permanent, full-time role. This role requires performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and delivers high-quality patient care for individuals across the lifespan, from neonatal to geriatric. This role functions in a fast-paced and growing clinical environment that relies on professional expertise, teamwork, and collaboration.

Position Overview

• Permanent, full-time role
• Start date: ASAP
• Level II Trauma Center environment
• Provides diagnostic ultrasound services for patients of all ages

Shift Details

• 12hr day or 12hr night shift options available
• 36 hours per week
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call as needed

Compensation & Incentives

• Pay range: $28.30 – $43.34 per hour (based on experience)
• Shift differentials if applicable
• Eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on bonus
• Relocation assistance available up to $7,500
• Complete benefits package available

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to department protocols
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Provide patient-centered care across the lifespan (neonatal through geriatric)
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology for diagnostic accuracy
• Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff
• Maintain accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail in all duties
• Support workflow and collaborate with the clinical imaging team
• Etc.

Requirements

• ARDMS Certification in at least 1 specialty
• BLS (AHA)
• 1+ years clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting
