Virginia Home Health LPN Job Details

• Location: Staunton, Virginia and nearby counties (travel radius up to 75 miles)
• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Healthcare Setting: Home Health
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential extension
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Average Patients per Day: 5–8
• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate for travel between patient homes

LPN Qualifications – Staunton Home Health Nursing Jobs

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent adult home health or hospice experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR within the last 6 months or willingness to retrain
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
• Ability to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
• Timely completion of documentation (within 24 hours of patient visit)
• Open to on-call and weekend rotations (one weekend per month, on-call 5 weekdays per month)
• Not currently employed directly by Amedisys

Homecare LPN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to home health patients per physician orders and agency policies
• Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and fellow LPNs
• Conduct home visits, including start of care, wound care, and follow-up assessments
• Travel between patient homes and attend office meetings as required
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
• Meet weekly productivity goals (30 points per week, approximately 40 hours)
• Participate in scheduled on-call and weekend rotations
• Maintain compliance with agency dress code (scrubs) and regulatory standards
