Senior Finance Manager
Position Title: Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Assignment type: Permanent Hire
Compensation: $170,000 – $180,000 / year
Work Schedule: M–F, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead strategic financial planning efforts within a mission-driven organization. This role provides financial leadership, drives performance insights, and partners cross-functionally to support organizational strategy and operational excellence.
This position manages and mentors a team of financial analysts while overseeing forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and executive reporting. The Senior Manager serves as a key advisor to leadership, delivering data-driven analysis and financial insights to guide both short- and long-term decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
- Include leading the development of financial forecasts and models
- Overseeing budgeting processes and allocation methodologies
- improving financial reporting tools and dashboards
- Ensuring strong financial policies and processes are in place.
- This individual will collaborate across departments to solve operational and financial challenges, evaluate the financial impact of initiatives, and identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvement.
- The role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting standards, the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights, and a leadership style that fosters collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience
- 3+ years of experience leading teams or major projects
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting expertise
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Preferred:
- MBA or CPA designation
- Experience in complex, multi-department organizations
- familiarity with financial planning systems and reporting tools
