Generators & Associated Switching In this role, you will be responsible for finding and nurturing new customer accounts, as well as expanding sales with existing clients in these industries. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical distribution, as well as technical expertise. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Skills: In-depth knowledge of electrical distribution and technical experience
Expertise in advanced sales and prospecting techniques
Proficiency with CRM software
Strong follow-up skills and the ability to remain persistent in closing deals
Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented
Familiarity with office software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, PDF tools)
Knowledge of general office equipment and machinery EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or related field
Sales and relationship-building training/experience
5+ years of sales experience in the electrical distribution or construction industry WORK HOURS Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
After-hours networking and client events are expected RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Achieve sales targets and execute parts of the annual sales and marketing plan
Build long-term relationships with both new and existing clients, converting referrals and warm leads into sales
Consult with customers, close sales, upsell where appropriate, and collaborate with the inside sales team for material sourcing
Increase awareness of our offerings across existing and new markets
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently
Expand the reach into proven geographic markets and explore new opportunities
Actively participate in industry associations and events
Identify potential new markets and complementary product offerings TEAM COLLABORATION As an integral member of the sales team, you'll collaborate with colleagues on: Updates about new product arrivals and processing needs
Providing feedback on missed sales opportunities, product mix, and customer insights
Communicating inventory discrepancies with the warehouse manager
Participating in regular inventory counts COMPENSATION This is a commission-based role, with specific details about the compensation structure provided to qualified candidates. BENEFITS Healthcare: Employer-funded individual medical and dental insurance after 90 days of full-time employment
