Position Overview

UVIMCO is looking for a proactive and organized Corporate Accountant to provide vital information and support for the corporate accounting function. The position would report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, who oversees corporate accounting, including managing operating company financials, operating company reporting and budgeting, payroll, and tax compliance. This position interfaces with team members across the organization, banks, vendors, and other third parties.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, and expense system processing

  • Operating company cash management, reconciliations, and maintenance of general ledger

  • Recordkeeping for deferred compensation plans

  • Monitoring of corporate bank accounts

  • Financial, operating budget, tax reporting, and audit support responsibilities

  • General support to corporate operations

  • Ad hoc reporting and special project work

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:


  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, expense reimbursements, and/or journal entry experience preferred

  • Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities accurately and effectively

  • Must be highly flexible in a fast-paced environment with evolving reporting requirements and job responsibilities

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to quickly learn new technology

  • An undergraduate degree with an emphasis in accounting, business administration, or finance and two years of related professional work experience or equivalent combination of college education and professional experience are required

  • Proficiency in accounting and reporting software and Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills (required)

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Paylocity, and Concur strongly preferred

  • CPA designation or progress towards preferred
