Locum to Perm - Physician - Cardiology - Non-Invasive Richmond, VA

Job Opportunity – Non-Invasive Cardiologist – Virginia
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time Monday–Friday with rotating call coverage (1:6 call ratio). Night and weekend call on a rotating basis. Average clinic volume of 10 patients per day; 12–15 inpatient admissions per physician per day.
Highlights:
- Provide critical support during active recruitment phase for second physician
- Blended practice model: inpatient, clinic, and call coverage
- Work alongside an established Medical Director and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians who work independently
- EPIC EMR system
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Opportunity for permanent placement with conversion fee cap of $25,000
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Cardiology (Non-Invasive)
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) certification required for Advanced Heart Failure management
- Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship with LVAD experience required
- Active Virginia medical license
- Active DEA certification
- ACLS certification
- Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within 30 days) required at time of submission
- Local candidates only; clean background required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
