We are seeking an experienced Pipe welder to join our team. In this role, you will work in various industrial settings. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
- Inspect and ensure pipe is correctly prepared to make an X-ray quality weld
- Complete welds in shop and field in all positions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Work with other construction professionals to complete projects
- Follow all safety guidelines
- Complete all welds in a timely matter
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipe Welder
- Have own tools available for daily use, including Stinger, Tig Rig, regulator, welding hood, and bucket
- Ability to pass 2-inch Schedule 80 6G pipe test in carbon and stainless steel
- High School Diploma or equivalent (experience may be substituted for education)
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Possess current, valid drivers license (not under suspension or limitation)
- Have the transportation means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests throughout employment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of how mechanical equipment works
- Knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting heavy objects and withstanding temperature extremes found in boilers, paper machines, manufacturing facilities, etc.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
