What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate medically prescribed respiratory equipment
• Train patients and caregivers on ventilators and DME devices
• Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of respiratory therapy treatments
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
• Document all patient care services accurately in documentation systems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to infection control protocols
• Perform preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities
• Contribute to discharge planning by consulting with medical staff

What You Need

• Virginia Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to obtain
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in respiratory therapy
• Strong bedside manner and physiological knowledge
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow infection control procedures and safety protocols

Preferred

• Experience with ventilator management and DME equipment
• Additional certifications in respiratory care
