The Challenge and Impact

Altus Consulting seeks a skilled Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the software applications that power our mission. As a member of our team, you'll collaborate with fellow engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, turning client needs into robust software platforms. Your expertise will shape solutions used across various platforms, including cloud environments where you'll leverage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Your Day-to-Day Contributions

Imagine yourself immersed in a world where your technical skills come to life. You'll analyze user requirements, transforming them into the blueprints for our software systems. Your days will be a dynamic mix of coding (using languages like Python, bash, HCL, and Go), deploying applications on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and crafting secure networking solutions. Databases and APIs will be regular parts of your workflow, and opportunities to explore virtualization and automation will keep you constantly evolving.

The Essentials

To make the biggest impact in this role, you will need an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, you'll need at least 2 years of experience in software development with relevant tools and technologies.
