Radiology Technologist - ARRT (R) - Full-time Positions

Pro Med Healthcare Services is seeking Radiologic Technologists for Full-time Positions in Richmond, VA.

The practice of radiography is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.

• Demonstrates basic knowledge related to the use of protocols, procedures, and equipment.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform radiographic exams safely and accurately with reliable information regarding the performance of equipment, materials, and processes.
• Demonstrates the ability to djust protocols and procedures based on safe and effective practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to evaluate an exam or procedure that would meet all quality assurance standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to provide clear and precise documentation is essential for continuity of care, accuracy of care, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrates the ability to promote a positive and collaborative practice atmosphere with other members of the health care team.
• Expected to participate in professional organizations and scholarly activities such as research, scientific investigation, presentation, and publication to advance the profession.
• Shift Availability
• · Five shift options available: Morning, Evening, Night, and two weekend shift options
• · Weekend shifts are 12-hour shifts (three 12s totaling 36 hours)
• · No call requirements
• · No rotating weekends
• · Overtime available but not required
• · Hourly Range: $28.05 – $43.49 - Shift differentials available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Days and Weekend Nights

Requirements

Knowledge and Competency

• Novice-level experience. Competent in routine studies.
• Working knowledge of technical standards, the scope of practice, department and health system policies, safety, and service standards.
• Working knowledge of imaging equipment, image processing software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care equipment

Education, Certification & Experience

• The position requires certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or must obtain within the first 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
