Forklift Operator
Location: Ashland, VA
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd shift
Job Type: Permanent hire opportunities
We are hiring experienced sit-down forklift operators for permanent positions at a well-established facility in the Ashland area. These roles offer stable schedules, competitive pay, and the opportunity for long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks in compliance with shipping and receiving procedures
- Stage, stack, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns
- Follow inventory control processes and material handling guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties throughout the shift
- Strong commitment to safety and workplace procedures
- Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift
