About the job
We provide tax compliance and planning services for individuals, trusts, estates, and small businesses. The company does not sell or endorse investment vehicles, mutual funds, or insurance products. We maintain a strong focus on detailed and comprehensive tax and estate planning in coordination with the client's investment advisor and lawyer. We do not draft legal documents.
Role Description
The responsibilities include preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and trusts, as well as ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. As a Tax Accountant, you may also contribute to strategic tax planning.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and general Tax-related processes
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, based on your personal tax experience
- At least three years of professional experience in tax preparation
- Proficient in tax and spreadsheet software, particularly CCH Axcess or ProSystem
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- CPA, EA, or Registered Tax Return Preparer certification is a plus
- Team-oriented approach to work is important
- Pay is commensurate with experience
- References will be checked
- Criminal background check will be done.
