We are seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations for a proposed repatriation initiative. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals in transition while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Quality Assurance:
Oversee all aspects of nursing care, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize patient care and safety.
Monitor, audit, and evaluate nursing performance to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Lead the implementation of a Clinical Quality Assurance Plan.
Administrative Duties:
Direct nursing personnel activities in alignment with program goals and compliance requirements.
Supervise the Medical Reception Department and Medical Surveillance Programs.
Review new hire credentials and support onboarding processes.
Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational demands and patient needs.
Develop and oversee training programs for nursing staff, including orientation and continuing education.
Staff Development & Performance Management:
Identify staffing needs and adjust as necessary to ensure seamless clinical care.
Define personnel competencies and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Provide performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.
Offer guidance and corrective counseling as needed.
Patient Care & Operational Support:
Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient well-being and clinical excellence.
Support medical transfers when necessary to ensure appropriate levels of care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement corrective action plans as required.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) License (State-specific as required).
Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Experience in outpatient and/or clinic settings (minimum 2 years required).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred.
Experience in military, government, or migrant healthcare settings is a plus.
Familiarity with Joint Commission International (JCAHO) standards preferred.
Additional Information
Compensation: $80K - $160K (Final salary determined by experience, qualifications, and geographic market data.)
Work Environment: Primarily office-based with periods of standing, sitting, and lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. MRPT Clearance preferred.
