Equipment Restoration Technician
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Onsite)
Compensation: $23–$28
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Overtime Available | No Weekends

The company specializes in the sales, service, and refurbishment of professional-grade floor care equipment and maintains a large in-house restoration operation.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, rebuilding machines, and bringing equipment back to life.

Working out of a climate-controlled shop, you'll repair and fully restore commercial floor equipment ranging from scrubbers and sweepers to other industrial machinery. The shop maintains a large inventory of equipment in need of service, ensuring steady, meaningful work.

You'll join a team of experienced mechanics who value craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous learning.

What You'll DoEquipment Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across industrial floor care equipment
• Repair engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement durable solutions

Equipment Restoration & Rebuild

• Disassemble machines down to base components
• Rebuild equipment using new parts, seals, and wear components
• Restore machines to full working condition for resale or redeployment

Shop Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work bay
• Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and troubleshoot complex repairs
• Follow safety procedures and shop standards

What You Bring

• 3+ years of mechanical repair experience
• Background in one or more of the following:
• Small engine repair
• Automotive repair
• Diesel equipment
• Forklifts
• Floor scrubbers or sweepers
• Industrial or hydraulic equipment
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others
• Organized, safety-focused approach to shop work
