Key Job Details – ICU RN Travel Contract

• Job Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Roanoke, Virginia (24014)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2070
• Setting: Resource Pool – ICU/PCU (float to all ICU and PCU units as needed)
• Patient Ratios: ICU 2:1, PCU 5:1
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in a large hospital setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• NIHSS and CPI certifications preferred
• Previous charge nurse and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Ability to float to all ICU and PCU units as needed
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in ICU and PCU settings
• Float between ICU and PCU units based on hospital needs (may change every 4 hours)
• Manage and monitor critically ill patients, including ventilator and arterial line management
• Administer emergency medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and provide blood product administration
• Interpret dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and manage central/PICC lines
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in self-scheduling and work at least one holiday during the assignment (two during winter holidays)
