CONFERENCES AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Location: Herndon, Virginia Job Type: Contract-temporary, full-time (ASAP through end of February/early March) Compensation Range: $40 - 45 per hour

Our client is seeking a temporary Conferences & Events Professiona l to join their team immediately! This role is critical to the successful planning and execution of a major corporate event scheduled for February 23-25.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of major events in February.
• Work onsite in office a few days per week to support event preparation.
• Attend and provide on-site support during the event (February 23-25) to ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate with vendors, staff, and executives, ensuring all logistics run seamlessly.
• Handle day-to-day event operations, including tracking timelines, managing materials, and organizing schedules.
• Interface with senior executives and VIP attendees during the event, providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors
• Event management experience is required (corporate events preferred).
• Technically savvy with the ability to manage event technology and tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage confidently with executives.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Local to the Herndon, VA area, with the ability to work onsite in office and attend the event.
• Available to start immediately and work through February (or possibly early March).
