Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Support Services Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within our treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing custodial and sanitation practices in compliance with environmental regulations and standards, particularly within hospital and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental services, floor care, and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Implement effective custodial practices to maintain high levels of hygiene in all areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
• Manage waste disposal processes in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Perform floor care tasks such as cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing to maintain the appearance and safety of flooring surfaces.
• Train and supervise staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols related to environmental services.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning schedules align with operational needs while minimizing disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in environmental services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or environmental services, preferably within a hospital or commercial cleaning environment.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and OSHA regulations related to cleaning procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
• Certification in environmental services or related fields is a plus but not required.
