Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Access Patrol in Sandston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cutting-edge technology location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. - Provide customer service to all individuals at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, with attention to security-related concerns and policy compliance.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate personnel.
- Support a professional environment within a technology-focused location by following post orders, observing operational activity, and helping to deter disruptions through visible presence and timely reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
