Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with night shift availability across multiple pediatric units.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Night shift schedule (7p–7a), 3x12-hour shifts per week with the possibility of 4x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license (pending VA license will be accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; note there is a $185 cost associated with obtaining this certification)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• PICU and NICU experience required; previous NICU/PICU float pool experience is a plus
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and SSN card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be comfortable floating across a wide range of pediatric care settings in accordance with their clinical experience
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
