Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

acac is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CPA to join our finance team as a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist the VP of Finance in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining internal controls. Key Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with cash flow management to support company operations.
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
• Review and implement internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Participate in system improvements and process enhancements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (preferred).
• Prior experience in a corporate accounting or public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with accounting software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Sage or similar systems).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
