Your Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently, based on credentialing
• Educating patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within scope of practice

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure within 90 days)
