Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)

Join our dynamic team in Roanoke, Virginia, as a reliable, dynamic, and resourceful 2nd Shift Quality Inspector. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of products filled on our production lines at our manufacturing plant, making sure they strictly adhere to all company standards and specifications.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of inspection experience is preferred, ideally within the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or a related industry in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficiency in using a counting scale and an RF Scanner.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Review fill and assembly specifications and the standard received from the Quality Supervisor.
• Compare assembled product with the standard on each production line.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure that product meets all defined specifications.
• Check the pull force of the cap using a pull force gauge to determine if the bottle was assembled correctly.
• Verify that the product is not leaking by testing a sample in the vacuum chamber every 30 minutes.
• Check the quality of the crimp using specialized test equipment to ensure the bottle is sealed properly.
• Randomly inspect and approve samples from each pallet before it is removed from the production floor.
• Collect and appropriately label customer and retain samples.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• standing for 8 hours at one time
