Positions available Sentara Obici and BelleHarbour locations for Main OR, Ambulatory Surgery, and Endoscopy. Call requirements vary, flexible scheduling. Full Time and Flexi/PRN roles are available. About the Surgical Services Department: The Main OR: Sentara Obici Hospital is a recognized Primary Stroke Center and Magnet hospital, with an average of 5,000 cases per year. The 40-person team supports seven operating rooms, and performs a diverse range of procedures including general, ortho, podiatry, vascular, GYN, spine, and plastics, utilizing advanced systems like DaVinci robotic technology. The team, comprising RNs, surgical assistants, surgical technologists and OR techs, works across Obici and Bell Harbor hospitals, with opportunities to assist in Obstetrics as needed. The Ambulatory Surgery Center at BelleHarbour offers high-quality care within a collaborative environment that includes registered nurses, surgical techs, sterile services, and support staff, all overseen by a highly trained and experienced management team. The center features dedicated admit recovery and 6 bed post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) services. The facility provides a range of surgical services, including orthopedic procedures, as well as gynecology, plastics, ENT, urology, General, and Podiatry. Endoscopy: Our newly remodeled Endoscopy Department features three state-of-the-art procedure rooms and is staffed by a dedicated team of six RNs and endoscopy technicians who work closely with a primary GI outpatient provider, with additional staff available for call coverage and surgical needs. Extensive training, lasting 4 to 6 weeks, ensures the endoscopy technician will be proficient in equipment handling, assisting during procedures, and supporting hands-on surgeries. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
